‘A Window to the World’ at Cooper Middle

On March 10, the students at Cooper Middle School caught a glimpse of different cultures found in the McLean community. Elena Berrious, who is in seventh grade at Cooper Middle School, said that “International Night opened up a window to the world because it allowed us to learn about different cultures.” Students and families enjoyed a night of diverse food and entertainment. The Hispanic, Japanese, French and German cultures were highlighted at this culture-filled night. In preparation to the event students worked on projects such as models of different events and children's books written in the language they study. Jordan Dinesman, an eighth grader at Cooper, said, “The student projects were creative and good visuals of foreign culture.”
