Vienna — Last week U.S. Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-11) was awarded the Save The Children’s “Congressional Champion for Children Award.” The reception was held on Capitol Hill in front of more than 400 people. Also receiving awards were Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-Calif.) “The Save the Children Foundation promotes American prosperity and values by giving children a healthy start, the opportunity to learn, and protection from harm.
