Puppy Murray in his yellow cape is becoming a familiar sight to Great Falls residents. He is being raised by Peggy and David Cowdrill for Canine Companions for Independence, where he will be in the position to make a difference in the life of a person with disabilities. When the training is done, Puppy Murray, a lab/golden retriever, will know more than 40 advanced commands, and be matched with a person with disabilities. Canine Companions for Independence is a national non-profit organization providing highly trained assistance dogs for children, adults and veterans with disabilities. For more information about becoming a Puppy Raiser, visit cci.org or call 1-800-572-BARK.
