District Taco opened its 10th location on Friday, May 26, at 1500 Cornerside Blvd., in the Tysons
West development.
The first 100 customers in line on opening day ate for free. The milestone will also be celebrated with raffles and other giveaways throughout the lunch rush.
District Taco traditionally celebrates each grand opening by giving back to the surrounding community and nonprofit organizations. For the Tysons Corner opening, District Taco will donate a portion of the day’s profits to Wolf Trap Animal Rescue. This organization works to rescue dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in Mississippi and other states of the South, and to provide health care for at-risk animals. The rescue regularly hosts adoption events at the Tysons Corner PetSmart.
“This is our 10th location and this means a lot for the company considering the dream started with just a taco stand,” Osiris Hoil, CEO and co-owner of District Taco, said in a press release. “Everything is possible when you work with smart and enthusiastic people and that's what District Taco has, plus delicious food.”
In 2017, Hoil also plans to open District Taco restaurants in Riverdale Park, Md., and King of Prussia, Pa.
